About calibration of the S.C. Meter its already done, just turn on, dip and read.
You'll find that the readings will go down as the urine cools, that is the specific conductivity varies directly with temperature.
So straight out of your body, the urine is still hot thus the specific conductivity is higher. Just be consistent, if you wait for a reading, keep the waiting time more or less consistent.
Have fun, its interesting to see how the S.C. levels vary during the day and with more or less ingested water and/or depending what was eaten.
Remember what you want to see is readings under 12,000 microsiemens.
This means that the urine, and thus more importantly the blood is thin enough to do its job properly. Over this number, its like running your car with sludgy oil, the higher the number the thicker the sludge.
Over time this sludge will congeal causing a deterioration of body function (high blood pressure, stone formation, heart problems, etc.).
Bottom line - you know exactly if you're hydrated enough, and the foods you're eating are not "sludging out" your blood circulation.
